Founded in the heart of Androscoggin County, Andwell Health Partners began as a small community initiative to address gaps in home and hospice care. From the outset, our founders envisioned a nonprofit that would bring high‑quality, affordable health services to every Mainer, regardless of zip code. By securing Medicare certification early on, we positioned ourselves to serve a broader population while maintaining a focus on compassionate, patient‑centered care. Over the years, we expanded our offerings to include behavioral health, pediatric therapy, and specialized wound care, always guided by the principle that care should fit into daily life. Our growth has been fueled by volunteers, donors, and a dedicated staff who share a commitment to community impact and lifelong learning. Today, we operate across Maine, delivering services that range from skilled nursing at home to hospice care in the comfort of patients’ own homes. Our 2026 Community Impact Report highlights milestones such as increased hospice enrollment, reduced readmission rates, and expanded telehealth access. Through partnerships with local hospitals, schools, and faith communities, we have built a robust network that supports families before, during, and after illness. We pride ourselves on a culture of innovation, where frontline staff are encouraged to share ideas that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Our workforce includes nurses, therapists, social workers, and care coordinators who undergo ongoing training to stay at the forefront of evidence‑based practices.
