In 1987 Chad Ricksham was excelling in his shop ( construction ) classes at Fridley High School when he quickly realized this is what he loved to do—build things with creativity and detail. After graduating he immediately started a 4 year apprenticeship With the Carpenters Apprenticeship program with the Carpenters Union Local 851. He was able to complete the program in 3 years and was lead Carpenter at the Mall of America and Mystic Lake Casino projects. Chad also help build a hangar for Northwest Airlines at MSP. He was building the biggest projects that Minnesota had ever seen. After 10 successful years of commercial construction, it was time to be an Entrepreneur. Chad launched his company, Ricksham Construction, LLC/Inc. in 1998. He began by specializing in Kitchens, Bathrooms, Basements and Additions. During the housing boom, and with his wife Jill by his side, they started building homes. Their reputation with creativity, detail, and customer service, made their homes highly desirable. They went on to build custom homes for the next 10 years and became one of the top Better Business Bureau AAA home builders in the Elk River area. In 2008 market conditions greatly changed so Chad became co–owner of Premier Home Improvement, LLC based in Elk River. Premier Home Improvement acquired Chad’s BBB –AAA status, license and reputation. He brought 20 years of hands-on construction knowledge and skill to elevate this company as at top restoration and storm damage repair company in the area.
