Morgan “Alex” Alexander joined the U.S. Army as a military linguist at age 18. As part of the Military Intelligence Branch, he had the opportunity to attend the Defense Language Institute twice, first for French and then later for German. After four years of military service, Alex received his Honorable Discharge.

In 1988, Alex received a scholarship to attend the University of Massachusetts / Amherst where he majored in German. The following year, he went to Germany on exchange and remained there for three years. He completed his degree requirements at the University of Heidelberg and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in German. Alex was also invited to join Phi Beta Kappa, America’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society.

While overseas as a college student and after some extended stays in Russia, Sweden and Canada, Alex returned to the United States to attend Thunderbird, the Garvin School of Management, where he obtained his MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) specializing in International Management in 1995.
