Sacred Journey Hospice has been locally owned and operated since its creation 16 years ago in 2001. Founded by four oncology nurses and a physician assistant who saw a need in the community, Sacred Journey was the first hospice in our area and remains one of the longest running and most experienced hospices in Atlanta. We have created a welcoming and caring environment in our inpatient unit and our clinical team provides compassionate care in your home or ours. Last year, Jack Draughon became the President and owner, and we remain locally owned and operated with several of the founders still active in day to day operations and with active RN licenses. Both we and our non-profit arm, the Sacred Journey Hospice Foundation, support our local community through educational programs, scholarships, and events. Our quality care indicators (determined by an independent review board) are well above the national average for overall satisfaction and many other key areas.
