Bergen Acupuncture is located at 849 Lincoln Ave in Glenrock, NJ 07542. It is owned and operated by Avni

Mahmudi, Dip. O.M., L.Ac. who is a licensed oriental medical practitioner, which includes acupuncture and

herbology, in the state of New York and New Jersey and is also Nationally Board Certified as a Diplomate in

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from the National Certificate Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental

Medicine (NCCAOM). This is the most advanced level available. Avni has also been certified by the council of

colleges of acupuncture and oriental medicine in clean needle technique.
Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique that has been used for the last 3000 years by billions of people

world-wide for a wide variety of conditions. Although it has evolved considerably with time, the fact that it is

still widely practiced today speaks to its efficacy and durability. It uses fine needles to balance and facilitate the

flow of Qi, or ""vital energy"" in the body, thereby maximizing its innate healing abilities. Acupuncture is a

branch of Oriental Medicine, which also utilizes herbal remedies, dietary therapy, massage, exercise, and/or

meditation to achieve overall physical, mental and spiritual health.
