A growing tourist industry and increased demand from both domestic and foreign buyers mean that the Turkish property market currently represents an attractive proposition for UK investors.
Local specialists Sunseekers Altinkum have reported that prices in some parts of the country are growing by an annual rate of around 25 per cent, though property remains good value for money.
In addition, the firm stated that local authorities within Turkey as well as finance providers have recently introduced a number of new initiatives and products aimed at encouraging foreign investment in the country’s property market.
"With new mortgage laws recently passed and a population of over 70 million, Turkey offers a huge and dynamic domestic market to foreign investors," said Julie Anthony, UK representative for Sunseekers Altinkum.
A recent report from Barclays revealed that the number of Brits looking to make an investment in foreign property has doubled over the past year, with Turkey, Dubai and South Africa among the new destinations being chosen by investors.
