In fact, in 2009, we were the first-ever Kansas City contractor to win a national award for wood floor design and installation. We won the Wood Floor of the Year award from the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association). The award was in the category of “Best Living Room/Family Room” (Laser Cut/CNC Cut). There were 142 entries from the U.S., Canada and Russia which featured 19 total awards. The diamond shaped, geometric pattern consisting of over 2300 individual pieces of quarter-sawn red oak, maple and walnut woods, was designed for a home in Olathe, KS.
